How do you view the Old Testament? In your quiet times would you rather spend time in the New Testament because the Old Testament seems well.. really old? Do you find the Old Testament hard to follow? To help answer these questions and more we have started a new series called Full of Promise. Jesus said, “Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:27).
It is a study of the Old Testament which helps us understand the purpose and plan of God to redeem His people through Christ. Be encouraged once again as you find Christ throughout the Old Testament books.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday’s of every month at the Lacson’s between 7-9pm. We also have child-care and youth group that same evening at our main building.
Decisions, decisions! How do we make decisions or handle challenging situations that God allows us to go through? How can we discern right from wrong? The Scriptures teach the importance of applying spiritual discernment:
But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. – Hebrews 5:14
How can this be practically applied? How do we train our powers of discernment? Join our Wed. night bible study as we learn the fundamentals of developing our skill of spiritual discernment.
We meet every other week at the Lacson home. For directions or more information call (916) 669-8491.
The discernment notes can be downloaded here: Spiritual Discernment Notes.
Winston Churchill once said, “Those that fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.”
Our faith as Christians depends upon history. Â Our faith is made possible because of a historic event where God became man and died for sinners. Â Our justification is grounded on the historical resurrection event.
Come join this fascinating study of how the Jesus Christ continues to build His church through the centuries and uses imperfect vessels for His glorious purposes.
Our Sunday School hour starts at 9am-10am. Â Child-care and breakfast are provided.
We are starting our membership classes during the Sunday School hour between 9am-10am. If you are interested in becoming a member of TCBC, please come and learn about the Church’s theological distinctives, philosophy of ministry, and by-laws. Morning snacks and coffee are always provided.

We are currently undergoing a series on the person and work of Jesus Christ, also known as Christology.
In the history of mankind there has never been so popular and controversial figure than Jesus Christ. In our study of Jesus, we pose many questions surrounding his person and work. What does the Old Testament say about Jesus? Why are there so many “versions” of Jesus? What part of Jesus was man and what part of Jesus was God? When did his existence begin? What is the difference between immaculate conception and miraculous conception? What do Catholics believe about Jesus? Is Jesus really the only way to salvation?
Please join our fascinating and encouraging study of Jesus Christ at 9am.
Inviting all the men! We are starting a new weekly bible study that covers a practical theme that we will spend a lifetime battling: sin. To help us along we will rely on a 300 year old saint who helped generations of other saints in this battle against sin. His name is John Owen and we’ll go through a modernized book that covers this three major works on sin. Owen covers the nature of indwelling sin in the believer, the temptation of believers to sin, and lastly the mortification of sin. Men, let’s go through this challenging subject of sin and as one saint said long ago, “be prepared for the knife!”
